CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- One charlotte school will be rocking around the clock. Students at Tuckaseegee Elementary learned they had won a fall festival, courtesy of My School Rocks Magazine. Children from several schools wrote letters to say why their school should get to host a fun festival. The winning letter came from a Tuckaseegee fifth-grader. "I wrote a letter and sent it in. Our school is having a fall festival and we get to play on lots games and rides," said Hyuan Hwing. The festival will take place Nov. 18 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Kids at Tuckaseegee Elementary School got a big surprise today from My School Rocks! Magazine. The kids and the teachers thought they were going to a behavorial seminar but instead they got a surprise visit from Charlotte Checkers Mascot Chubby and the surprises didnt end there. The school also won a fun fest. The magazines creator says the kids really get a kick out of it. "We'll show them a little video of all the different things they will be receiving and hopefully they will be excited." The fun fest had several inflatable moon bounces, rides and games. The surprise is a special bonus for the kids at Tuckaseegee who dont have a playground of their own.
